Trust the Lord! Not Singular Statements Not Substantiated by God's Quorums of Prophets- President Dallin H ...

In the first session of General Conference, October 2019, President Dallin H. Oaks of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints counseled the Saints about putting too much stock in the visions and words of those who are not official spokespersons for the Lord or in the opinion of one perspective of a prophet in a singular statement.

Doctrine is established by the Quorums of the First Presidency and of the Twelve Apostle of the Church. That is how to know it is official Church doctrine. Anything else is an opinion that is not official.

It does not mean the teaching or view may be false, but it should NOT be taught in church as anything more than an opinion until God reveals it to His Quorums as His established words.

Surely, the Lord God doeth nothing save He reveal His secrets unto His servants the prophets [Paraphrase of Amos 3:7].
