King Benjamin

Every culture has a great leader or unifying symbol from the past that it looks to it seems. Moses is one of the most recognized of the Judeo-Christian-Islamic tradition. Buddha and Confucius are noble leaders of redolent thought. Within Nephite society in ancient America, one of those great leaders is a king by the name of Benjamin. 

Through his teachings and sermons, he aided in a spiritual movement that set the course of the children of Lehi and laid the foundations for the establishment of the Church of Jesus Christ among the Nephites and Lamanites.
